Hi I have recently purchased a 2006 LC5 LC, which has a faulty amplifier, can anyone help or advise the best places to get it fixed or find a reliable second hand replacement? I am being quoted £500 from Toyota for a new one!!! And have not been able to find a second hand one on e bay? I was informed that the replacement amp has to be the exact Pioneer Part Number 86280-60281 can anyone advise if this is correct or if other amps will fit or be able to be modified to fit? Thanks for your help. |

FYI, 86280-60281 is a Toyota Part Number (the Pioneer part number is GM-8027ZT-02/WL). |

My suggestion would be to get the old amp repaired by an car audio specialist; do a search on the web and try and find someone local to you. Since Pioneer is a known brand and I'm sure you can find someone who can fix it. |

Could I ask what the faulty amp caused? Ie no sound at all? Or distorted sound etc?
Only ask as I have an Lc5 with poor sound quality, both very distorted and low volume.
Many thanks. |

Hi no with ours no sound what so ever, from the radio or CD the only audio we are getting is the sat nav which does not play through the amp, it is direct to one speaker. We have had the amp professionally inspected and it looks like water damage from the previous owners. However still not having any luck in finding a replacement/second hand amp so if any one can help? Please as having to chat to the wife all the time with no music/sport!! And before you say it our singing is appalling! |
