Hi everyone.Got a 94 4.2td vx with a few upgrades. My problem is I have twin tanks, switched by 2 solenoids. I always fill both up at the same time .After about couple of days on main tank it felt like I was running out of fuel even though gauge shows near full. Switch to sub and hey no prob. Switch back to main again and within 1 min starvation. Now before I start to rip things apart it would be nice to know what direction to start. Have any of you had simular probes or just know what can cause this.
Thanks Bill

Could be the filler cap vent blocked causing a vacuum try just loosening it a bit.

Hi joiner man, sorry did not work. Had time today to strip down cap, even made sure both vent tubes to the both tanks were clear. Ran the motor up on main tank after couple of mins engine starts to cut out, had to switch to sub tank quick then All's OK. Do you know if solenoids which switch from tank to tank are live when on main tank or on the sub tank?.
Got anymore ideas or has someone else. Strange thing was it happened quick not a slow progressive prob.
Cheers

Just an update for those who have the same twin tank and twin solenoid setup on their LC. The problem was both fuel hoses from main tank to both solenoids had collapsed internally. Now fine for a few more years.
