OK, to show a picture in the forums is really quite easy, once you've done your first one.

To start with, you need somewhere online to save the picture - a free picture host - there are lots out there, but my personal favourite is PhotoBucket <-- click to link

Once you have uploaded your picture to photobucket, when you list the pictures in your album, when you point your mouse at the picture you want, under the picture (or next to it) there will be a list of options to use to display the pic ... like this :

Click on the link next to, (to the right of), IMG Code

This will copy that code, then you paste that in your post on the forums ...

Code:

[IMG]http://i843.photobucket.com/albums/zz351/tlocuk/TLOCUKYD200.jpg[/IMG]

To give something like this :

Job done! thumbright

Top tip ...

for best format in the forums, try to keep the size of your original picture < 400x400 pixels

There are loads of tools for resizing / resampling pictures ...

The simplest, most basic, easiest to use is MS Paint.

for more complex stuff, you can move up ...

next, I'd suggest infranview <-- Click to link ...
it's free and quite comprehensive for basic picture manipulation.

My personal favourite is Gimp <-- A lot like PhotoShop - but FREE!

After that .. the sky's the limit ... how deep are your pockets? Laughing

HTH?

Above your photo there is:-  EDIT/SHARE/DELETE. Click on share
The page chages to share this image.
Click on GET LINK CODE.

Then Left click IMG for bulletin boards and forums [URL changes to blue]
Then right CLICK
Then in the box click COPY.

Then go back to your open  NEW POST on the LC site and right click.
IN the box CLICK PASTE>

your photo comes up as a line of data No photo at this stage.

I'll answer my own question in case it helps anybody else.

I've been using a free account on imgbb.com successfully. Once you've uploaded your chosen photos get the "BBCode full" form the "Embed Codes" box and insert it in your post, it should start with [img]https://image. . .  Make sure you untick "Disable BBCode in this post" immediately below the main text entry box or the pic will not display - check by clicking Preview before Submit.
