Amayama usually give an alternative Part Number and that part works well.
The Toyota Part No. is: 36293-35031.
The last one I bought from Amayama had the Part No.: 3629335040.
See if that works for you.
Good Luck.

Hi Bob
hope you are well, yes that part no did work,i have been back on amayama parts list but my vin/chassis no not recognised,i have narrowed it down by prefix of TZ and year of manufacture and auto box,to bring up the parts list for transfer box.
In your experience do you think this would be enough info to get the right parts. The chassis/vin number on my V5C is KZJ95-0045415
my prado is still drivable but i have to pull away very slowly,i was thinking of dropping off the front prop to take the tension of the chain for now,as i am assuming the drive would go staight to the rear wheels,is this correct ?.
Anyway have a good new year,im working tonight and tomorrow night so have a few for me.
cheers martin |

Martin,
I haven't found any differences between the Hi-Vo chains in the Transfer Boxes I have worked on (I have rebuilt 8) so think the Part No. I gave you will work.
But: I spent a lot of time chasing a "Slipping Chain" for a friend only for him to find that the 'slipping' was actually the front hub drive splines stripping - the TB was blameless (3 re-builds from me ). I would check that out before spending a lot on a chain, plus the hassle of stripping the TB out (and down).
If you remove the front propshaft and lock the centre diff the drive will be to the rear.
If the front hub splines are slipping the Centre Differential in the TB will be allowing the front prop to turn faster than the rear so there will be noise from the TB area. Is this why you think the chain is slipping ??
Unfortunately, removing the rear propshaft and locking the Centre Diff won't prove anything as a slipping chain or hub splines will produce the same result (unless you have someone lying under the truck watching the front propshafts . . Not Recommended ).
