Ive got an 53 plate amazon, found some water in passenger side footwell, so checked sun roof drain, thats ok,
now after searching net about windscreens, seems there is an issue with these riveted trims by side of the screen.
However, i cannot find any info about how they come off, so as to locate a suspected screen leak, and no, i have
not sprayed any more water over screen, as taken a while to dry things out inside.
In addition, has anyone ever sourced a heated front screen for said car.
Chow all . |

Well after looking into drain plugs under sills, they are clear as a bell, so problem not their. Dug out the
screen side cover trims, and lo and behold, no rivets, no screws, just holes where rivets should be. |

I lost all my rubber trim surrounding the windscreen . Yes LOST at knowsley safari park, I drove in the baboon enclosure and the car got pounced on by about 10 baboons all having a go at stripping apart any bits they could. For some reason the baboons enjoyed nibbling at the plastic clips which are part of the side trims that attach the trim to the car firmly.
Anyway, I got a quote from Mr T for the 2 side rubber trims and the thin strip along the top of the windscreen, total cost was £50. I haven't bought it yet so if you manage to get the bits from elsewhere please update us. |

Will do if i replace. Have now got all of trim off, must have been an issue with previous owners, as both sides had mastic everywhere, just not in them holes. |
