Hi,

So I'm leaving the big smoke and moving to the Peak District and swapped a 500bhp AMG for a 2005 LC5 J120 in lieu of the move, I'm glad I choose this over a Land Rover ( which I never really considered due to reliability ) and Shogun ( which drove like a large van ). Can someone help me with the following, I have looked in the owners manual, on this forum, on the net and cannot find the answer -

How do I disable the internal motion sensors so dogs / people can be left in the car with it still alarmed ?

Thanks

I don't know how the 120 series alarm works, but on my 100 series you press the lock button twice quickly, you then get a double beep of the alarm, and that's it.

Just checked the manual of my 2005 LC4 - it has a 2 stage locking system.
1. Lock by turning key in door lock or by one press on remote - doors cannot be opened from outside but CAN be opened from inside the vehicle.
2. Lock by 2 presses on remote - doors CANNOT be opened from outside OR from inside the vehicle.
So there is a warning against locking with 2 presses if you leave passengers in vehicle
BUT I can find no express mention of internal sensors as such.

If I'm leaving dogs I just use key in the ignition option personally and the alarm has never sounded but they are confined to a dog box so they can't try the doors anyway!  Wink

Button by rear view mirror. Push it in before removing ignition key. When removing key alarm icon on dash will blink rapidly.
Close all doors and operate remote to lock.

Whoops I have now found mine - obviously I was looking in the wrong place in the manual!
