Dear all after my recent post regarding loss of power under acceleration I changed the fuel filter which worked for a short while. After looking at the issues on the net I’ve decided that the suction control bales may be at fault. I’m looking to replace them. Is this an easy job to do yourself ? Any advice would be well received.

Thanks In advance

I don't know how different a 120 is but just changed them on my D4D 95. A bit fiddly but access isn't  too bad if you take the airbox out. Warning, the fixing bolts are very short.
Took about 90 mins.

Hi Colin

I have a problem that has been put down to the suction control valve. 2005 LC4 Auto, cutouts out , you can start it again but once you go into drive it cutouts again. You then need to disconnect both batteries for the fault to go and then you can start the car and drive.

However i had it plugged into a diagnostic this morning and the computer says there is a problem in an abs pump.

Any ideas.

Many Thanks

Paul
