As title, I have lost power to elec windows and central locking. I assume there are a few common denominators but where should I start looking? Handbook doesn't seen to have a fuse for this (these circuits) so I'm wondering what else may be common.

Prado 1998 model.

Thanks in anticipation

Regards
Neil.

My driver's side switch unit packed up so it could be that if the electric windows still work off the passenger side switch. If it is that, they can be found relatively cheaply and the three-door versions are shared with the Aygo (I think - it was years ago, but I did post on here about it at the time)

I'll put £10 on it being fatigued wires in the door shut...

There is a rubber flexi tube with large gromit eithe end (one end in the door, other in the lower part of the A Piller) the wiring loom to the switches etc all run through it and I've now seen a number of 90 series where the constant open close has cracked the wires within the rubber tube...

it is actually easier than it looks to fix - remove door card - remove speaker and you can un-clip the loom inside the door, remove the plastic panel inside the footwell and you can get to the other end, you'll see the rubber is taped up around the wires, unwind the tape and tease the gromits out and you can slide the rubber tube along the wires to expose them... solder new wire in, job done....

A new bit of loom is Stupid Crazy money from Toyota!!
