I have just noticed that the external door trim which covers the lower half of the door on my 2006 "Prado" is coming away! If I pry the panel away a bit at the bottom I can see a row of maybe 4 white plastic clips which seem to want to fit into holes in the plastic trim panel - but they don't click into place and wont stay in when I push them.

It seems like the clips have a barb top and bottom but maybe mine has lost one half? I have tried to attach a snap but dont seem able to do so? Assuming part of the clip has broken off, does anybody know whether these are a twist and lock type fit in the door panel?

From what I remember, there are three different types of clips holding the panel on - I think they are blue, white and orange.   Sometimes they snap and half of them will disappear inside the door forever.  Do you know the colour of the one you need?  Dealer can order them for you - I got a full set to fix my panel back on!
