Hi, I'm in the process of fitting a leisure battery to my 80 series 4.2Td - Please can someone give me brief details of the wiring system - ie do I connect the leisure battery to one or both of the front batteries of the 80 series. Thanks |

Hi ?????
I supose where you are putting the leasure battery, but first thing is your system the one that goes into 24volts when starting? then you will have make sure you don't connect to a battery that goes 24, but if you will only need to connect to one battery via relay so the two battrys only conect when the engine is running, also one other thing is the Aux battery is in the boot make sure the cable feeding it thick enough, as there will be a fair volts drop so won't get a good charge _________________ 2004 Amazon 100 series

Hi,
Thank you for your reply, on the 4.2Td the two batteries go to 24v when starting and revert back to 12v when engine has started. I will be putting the leisure battery behind the front seats, so is it correct that I only connect my leisure battery to one of the main batteries?
Thanks again for your reply.
