I recently purchased a 2001 SWB Landcruiser running standard 16 inch wheels with 265/70/16 tyres. I want to replace them with something new whilst also fitting BFG all terrain tyres.
Is there a table or list of compatible wheel/tyre sizes available..
Don’t want to lift or butcher anything if possible, but just wondering what the options are like 15 or 17 inch rims.
Thank you |

Why do you need smaller wheels ? just put BFG's on your 16"s _________________ 2004 Amazon 100 series

I get really confused by questions like this, which crop up frequently. You often get people who think that 265/70/16 is some rare, weird, unavailable tyre size. But it's really readily available.
As for fitting 15" or 17" rims, I'm sure it's possible but I don't recall hearing of anyone doing it and I don't know of any comparison tables. Do some research on wheels: you need to consider centre bore, stud pattern etc
This site supposedly gives the specs of standard Colorado wheels, though they only list Euro-spec Prado. I would double check https://www.wheel-size.com/size/toyota/land-cruiser-prado/1997/
Then there are plenty of tyre size visualiser websites that will allow you to compare sizes and ensure that you end up with the same rolling radius e.g. https://tiresize.com/comparison/ _________________ 1997 KZJ90 3.0d, 2" suspension lift, 235/85/16 Cooper STT Pros. 217k hard miles |
