Post subject: 3.0 D4D Fuel Consumption
Hi all,
I got my first Land Cruiser about 6 months ago. It's a 2011 LC5 3.0 D4D.
I was just wondering what sort of fuel consumption others with the 3.0 D4D are getting??
I am a bit shocked to see 21/22mpg per tank for daily pottering around, and at tops 25/26mpg for longer journeys (100miles+).
I know they are in no way fuel-efficient vehicles, but was expecting to see more along the lines of 26-30mpg, since I drive fairly sedately!
Any feedback much appreciated.
Cheers
Hugh

Should get more than that! I get 28/29mpg off the 1KZTE (the slightly more Agricultural version)
What Tyres are you running? Is a rear brake binding?

That's what I was thinking!
It's on General Grabber AT's running at 34/35 psi. It was delivering the same mpg on the road tyres it came with.
I checked for brake binding when I first got it and they seemed fine. Going to check again though more thoroughly.
Thanks

I seem to remember even the official mpg figures for the 150 were worse than the 120
