But I am thinking of 4 replacement springs, to give me a 25mm lift all round.
I phoned Froggs Island, and they quoted £65.00 per spring plus VAT.
Any one else thought about a mild, springs only lift?
Where would you try for springs, or where did you go for your springs.

What about the spring spacers you can get ? its just a 25mm uerothane ?? spacer that fits between the spring and the top mount. has the same affect without altering the ride too much, any lifted spring will be a higher rate. |

Hi Grimbo,
I think I have a "sagging" near side rear spring, looks like it is half inch more compressed than the RHS rear.
So in view that I have bought 265 x 70 x R17 BFG A/T tyres, I think a replacement set of springs would go down O.K.
I am planning a long trip to Cape Town in the near future, so might need springs replaced anyway.

Try TBR for the springs, they are often cheaper than Frogs.
Are you going to change the shocks as well? _________________ Cheers,

Hi Julian,
I was hoping not to change them, as the 120 runs very smooth.
Also with just a mild 25mm lift in the springs department, I was hoping to keep the originals.

Understandable, although you may find that the springs permit travel beyond the standard shocks.
When choosing the springs, make sure that they are rated according to the loads you are likely to be carrying - if rated too high you will have a much stiffer ride and if rated too low you could end up with a spring snapping if overloaded.
OME usually produce a chart of which springs/shocks to have depending on the loads likely too be carried on the front/back of the vehicle. _________________ Cheers,
