Just bought a Landcruiser Colorado lwb 1998 3.4 auto. I have not taken delivery yet, but on the test drive, I noticed that the light does not come on in the 'd' gear position, but does so in all the others? is it supposed to? I seem to think it should but neither me nor the car dealer (non Toyota) are sure. Dont wanna rip out the dash for no reason!!!

Funny, my 1996 VX does exactly the same! I suspect that Drive is the normal running position, so no indication. Less distraction for normal driving.

It should be lit - you can replace the bulb by removing the facia panel to get the speedo unit, rev counter etc out.

Fiddly and time consuming but it should work!
