Hello all.
I need to ask a question regarding the rearmost seats in an LC3, mine are the standard cloth seats.
My rearmost seats are in Warrington UK, and I need to get them to Oslo.
So if I am going to DHL them or similar, then
So I need some sizes and weights.
1. When they are folded up against the sides, what are the dimensions, remember one side is bigger than the other L x W x H please
2. f some one knows how heavy they are, or could clip them out, and put them on the bathroom scale, that would help.
I was going to look at DHL, but if any one has any other suggestions, then please chime in.
It would be too much of a coincidence if some one was working in the shipping / transport industry to ask would it.

Graham,
Mine measue the following (rounding them).
560x680x235mm
Mine has the 3 seater as the rear , so both are the same(ish)
Thats including the mounting bar for attaching it to the back mount.
As for the weight, sorry don't have a bathroom scales.
Hope this helps.

Hi Pete,
Thanks for the measurements.
It has been that long since I seen them, I forgot how they split.
I thought they were different, but I was wrong.
At a guess, would you say they are about 10kg each? |

At a very rough guess, yes I would say that.

What I might do then is, when me and the wife, next go back to UK for visit, I might look towards bringing the seats back with us as checked in luggage.
We would be allowed 15kg on Ryan air.
Then just take hand luggage as clothes etc, the allowance is 10kg.
I could wrap the 2 sets of seats in good brown paper, and strong brown packing tape.
We could each check in on of the folded seats.
Looks like they are no bigger than a good size suitcase, and not over the 15kg limit.
Do you think it would work? |

Would work ecept for one word...Ryanair...lol.
I'll try and get one of them weighted tomorrow. then if it under the 10kg, then why not put them into a suitcase, then bring your clothes too in the suitcase.

yea,
I know what you mean. Rayanair,
They are they pits as far as customer co-operation go.
I actually despise them, but they are cheap, and even though the seats don't recline, it's only 1h 40 mins from Oslo to Liverpool.
If you can weigh one then thats fantastic.
Much appreciated.

OK guy's
The rearmost seats weigh 13.2kg each.
All wrapped nicely. in cardboard and they went as luggage.
Total weight wrapped was 13.7kg.
Arrived back in Oslo today, and the seats are all fitted, back to normal. |
