Thought I posted a pic or two a while back of this... Not sure. Here's the latest one anyway.

Details:
Year: 1994
Model: SX Prado
Chassis #: J78
Engine: 1KZ-TE auto trans (dam it!)

Pretty much stock, apart from the exhaust system, and a few bits and pieces here and there. Great wagon!  Very Happy  Weighing up getting it converted to 5 speed... Any info on this would be much appreciated!

Nice looking Prado wagon there mate. Did you ENJOY wacthing the rugby yesterday? Well, I did!

To convert to a manual gearbox should be straight forward. You might need to get a fly wheel as well, not sure if the torque converter and fly wheel is one unit. Apart from that the gearbox will bolt straight one. You also need foot pedals, changing the fat Brake padel for a slimer one and a clutch pedal. The pivot shaft and links will be already up there, and you need a clutch master cylinder which needed to be mounted on the bulk head in the engine bay.

Gee mate you make it sound easy  Very Happy

Noticed the other day when adjusting the shock sensor on the alarm, a engine computer looking gadget with 1KZ-TE A/T written on it. Apparently the A/T stands for auto transmission, would I need to get an M/T one? Think I need to find a place / person who can do the job - I'm a teacher so would no doubt stuff something up  Wink  Only work I've done on it is replacing the bull bars  Laughing

Cheers for the feedback - and yes the rugby was good to watch. Didn't quite make the 3 something in the morning though  Shocked
