On Sunday, July 1st, we took our old BJ40 to the Brooklyn Toyota Day at Lincomb Farm, near Worcester, and in the morning I got to drive a D-4D on the very damp riverside course - great fun! After lunch, Tony, who owns the farm, suggested that we take his 80 and my 40 and play! Again great fun. Later we went to the more extreme course up in the woods. Plenty of steep climbs and drops, very wet and technically challenging but with little or no chance of damaging the vehicles. It was absolutely brilliant and Tony even had facilities for us to wash off the worst of the mud and undergrowth! A superb day, with great facilities, in beautiful surroundings. Thanks Tony.

Hi Tony,

A few people on the site have mentioned in the past that they would like to find somewhere to offroad that is not vehicle damaging and I think that Lincomb Farm is that place.
The tracks are clearly defined, there are no brambles or branches that catch you unaware and therefore you can concentrate on developing offroad driving skills and having a good time rather than worrying about the paint. Absolutely ideal, I'd say!

If there was interest would you be prepared to put some sort of event together for members of this forum? If so I'd gladly give you a hand organising it.

Regards,
Rodger

Hi Steve,
We have just had another one here, joined forces with ELCO as there is so little response from this site for this type of weekend. There will definitely be more next year,at least a couple anyway.
Cheers,Tony.

Hi,
TonyS is away at the moment but we'll be sorting out some dates for 2009 early in the new year.

Hopefully this winter's work will be finished on the 40 in time.

Look forward to seeing you at LF in 2009

Regards
Rodger

Yes it was a great day and subsequently we've had 3 events there. We're are just sorting out when the next one will be .
When the dates are confirmed it will be posted on this forum and on Elco.
As they say 'watch this space'
