None of the belts on my LC seem to work. Seems strange that none of them "catch". Any advice on repair, as I don't really want to shell out for new reels.

Regards, Ian.

Hi Ian

When you say they don't 'catch' are you testing them by simply pulling sharply on the belt?

Find a quiet stretch of road and try some fairly hard braking and see if they lock. The belts in my LC won't 'catch' either using the belt pulling method but always work OK under sometimes even relatively mild braking.

Phil,

Thanks for your help.Had the car into Toyota GB for some fault finding. Part of their advice was to have the seat belts replaced. Tried your practical test, and they are all functiuoning well. Needless to say, I am going to be clarifying their advice and invoice!

Many thanks, Ian.
