Guys, found a really useful facility for peeps in sunny SA to call your UK landline at local SA call rates:
My SA Number
You sign up to this, and it works great - no worries, no spam, no issues. Great service for free.
Give it a go (but only if you want to talk to your SA rellies ... ) _________________ I'll be more enthusiastic about encouraging thinking outside the box when there's evidence of any thinking going on inside it.

I'll definitely give it a bash - we might actually receive a call from the rellies, rather than always having to call them
Thanks for the link, Gary!

Cool! - thanks for that.
Hopefully that will help bring my BT bill down just a bit... |

I'm not from SA but I'll butt in anyway
I used to get massive phone bills because of international calls made from the UK (so opposite to the site Gary is suggesting). Orange have a broadband package that includes free international calls to land lines of certain countries. So for around £20 I get broadband and unlimited free overseas (and certain UK) calls. I don't know whether SA is included in their offering but if your bills are large, its worth looking into. _________________ cheers Reinhard
