At first I thought this was my imagination but after this morning, I am convinced it's not.

On a few occasions, maybe 3 or 4 times, I have heard what sounds like cracking glass coming from either the LHS B pillar or passenger rear door.
First few times, it sounded like you poured boiling water into a glass. A high pitch crack / ping sound. Not that loud but loud enough to hear with the radio on softly.

This morning it was much louder and longer. Enough to startle me.

It is not the window breaking, no running cracks in any of the windows, no one throwing stones at me etc etc.
It only happens / I can only hear it when driving in traffic or slowly, not over potholes or anything else abnormal.

The only reason I say it is not a stone being thrown at me is the sound has a duration as apposed to a stone hitting the window...... Not sure how else to explain it. Sounds like a crack running in glass....

Anyone else heard anything like this? Any ideas? My chassis cracking in half?

Weird - I had something sort of similar from front right - turns out to be the bushes on wishbones - so maybe roll bar for you?  Metal on metal sound??

Really am not sure. I would not say it is not a metal sound but does not sound like it. Best description is is boiling water in a glass. Running crack sound.

I'll crawl under in June and take a look. June is the next time I will see my house in the light...
