I'm planning to keep my 2.5 year old 120 for a very long time - probably 15+ years.

Mentally, I'm logging things which I'll consider doing as the car gets older - things where a modest spend might be worthwhile

At 7 years or so, change the radiator (reports [mainly of LC90s] of the oil and water mixing, leading to water in the auto transmission)
Probably at the same time, change the transmission fluid
At about 60,000 miles take the car to an injection specialist and get the seals changed

Anything else to add to the list?

Now that would be a nice list to have.

Would cleaning CV's be on the list? UJs (Replacement?)?

Sounds like cleaning oil pickup pipe and EGR need to be added, maybe every 40,000 miles.

Grease, timing belt and fluids are the key. Not much else you can do.

Is there not an oil additive that can be added as a preventative 'cleaning' measure rather than going through all this hassle ??.... Rolling Eyes  Rolling Eyes

1. Check the brake calipers, recon as needed
2.Ensure centre / rear diff locks lock as designed
3. Properly grease rear tail shaft to sort out the 'clunk'
4. Check / replace suspension bushes
5. Check / replace all water hoses, serpentine belt etc.
