Well, so far, other than a minor hiccup with workshop time slots, my dealings with D44 have been good.
I sent them my front diff (Colorado) to have an ARB air locker fitted. They impressed me straight away with the way that they talked about setting up a  diff like this (JW taught me all that I know and they were speaking the same language)

It arrived back to day exactly as promised and packed in its own crate with all the old parts (bearing and seals) packaged up too. The old carrier was in there and to my surprise it had all the planet gears still in there. Having not seen the new one, I didn't realise just how much gets replaced. An ARB diff might sound expensive, but it clearly is a considerable piece of engineering and I think, now, is a pretty good deal.
All the open ports and axle entries were plugged against entry of foreign matter.

Turning the companion flange by hand it feels silk smooth. Simply cannot wait to get it mounted and tested. Hopefully with a diff drop kit at the same time.

So a new post over the weekend no doubt. Watch out for the cheesy grin.

C
