Just got the new LC150 series prices for January 2010 for the UK (VAT will be back at 17.5% then  Crying or Very sad )

LC3 (GX equivalent) D-4D auto £30436 inc
LC4 (GXL equivalent) D-4D auto £41267
LC5 (VX equivalent) D-4D auto £45762

Metallic paint - add £521

Shocked Shocked

I can get a 6 month old 200 series with less than 20,000km for £47000 (assuming I had £47000 to spend of course!!)

£45k+ for an LC5....that's a £6k price hike or thereabouts. Getting into X5/Q7 prices. Hope it's worth it  Shocked Kinda like it though although given that it is a real off roader I'd like to see less of the easily ruined sissy paintwork on the bumbers and more rubbing strips and such like. Or at least as an option.

Gone are the chunky clip on wheel arch extensions and door panels that at least allow a relatively simple repair if the going gets tight. Also, wonder how much a mirror is with that integrated camera. What about a nice beige interior for dumping your dog and junk in after a day out and about? They even say 90% of the custoners are on-roaders and it shows.

It's all getting a bit soft.

I see from the blurb too that it is now a 7 seater and seats 6 & 7 are optional on LC3. (Maybe they were optional before, not sure).

I hate it when this happens... The 150 has grown on me  Embarassed

Same as for the 120 though .... I would not fork out the dosh for a new car, it's just not worth it... I'll wait a few (5 or so) years and get owners to sort out all the little/big niggels out and buy one just short of half price or lower...

Regards
Rob
