Hi.

I have just bought a Toyota Landcruiser Prado 2.4 turbo diesel to ship to Argentina where i will then be driving to North Brazil with some friends.

I did this journey last year only in campervans and never went on roads other than ashpalt.  I have very little experience with four wheel drives and dont plan on off roading to an extreme degree, however i would like to be able to use this vehicle in tricky situations and in the future take it to more daring terrain.

Can anyone tell me some good tips or advice on the mechanism of engaging the four wheel drive in this automatic landcruiser?

Any problems that are common.

Also can anyone recommend a course or website or shop where i can find out about learning how to drive a four wheel drive to its best capability so i am more prepared for my trip.
