Anyone interested in sharing container shipping costs sometime in 2012 for a 2 month trip around OZ ?
No firm dates yet, still flexible.
Cheers.    Cool

Approx 3k should get a couple of lwb 80 series there and back, so 1.5k tops, but if there are any swb vehicles then could maybe fit 3 vehicles into container.
Allow 6-8 weeks freight time, and could choose Sydney or Melbourne.
I've looked into hiring a vehicle over there but far more than the shipping costs, also there is the option of buying something then selling it, but that doesn't sound good to me, sure to be problematic.
So, if anyone thinking of something similar let me know.   Cool

hmm, was thinking of a 3 week trip in Aus again in 2012 once the missus finishes her college course. We were planning to hire a 4x4 but this could be right up our street Very Happy We want to roughly cover the North coast route Cairns-Perth and a bit of the interior as that's what we missed last time, but also catch up with as many friends as possible in Perth, Albany, Adelaide and Melbourne. Really any port would be okay as it means more to explore again

I'll have a word with the other half, but can you keep me updated with dates, costs etc? I have a semi-LWB 70 series so could only fit one other cruiser in with it I think..

Cheers, Jim.
