Hi all,

Yes it's a new show. It's organised by the same chap who started up the Donington Indoor show many years ago. It's aimed at overland travellers and is not dominated by L*nd R*vers so we'll definitely be going.

It's the first year of the show and only a fiver to get in. Hopefully it'll grow and grow.

Happy trails,

Jojo

mmmmmmmmm, what can i say,   i spent most of the time walking round the carpark, well turned out, few toyota 80's  expensive breakfast,  cracking troop carriers and plenty of land rover bits,

i will be going next year to walk the carpark.

I have heard mixed reactions on the show. I, personally will be trying to attend the show next year if they hold another if anything to experience it first hand Very Happy

I guess its always going to be smaller scale as it is fairly specialist - its such a long way for me that I decided against it due to cost! if its on again next year I will make it, hopefully will have actually been somewhere by then!

am guessing its an annual show, so same time later this year?

there are other shows though, for you in west london I reckon the one at Bath & west showground will be reasonably convenient.

IF you are interested in Overland travelling then the best show is the RGS Overland Weekend on 28/29th May at Terrington School, Terrington YO60 6PR,

This is not a trade show, not run by any magazine.  It is a weekend of lectures and presentations by people who have travelled.  Camping is available on site and good B & B's are close by.  Yes there will be some traders there.  However the exchange of information/ideas/tips form the main point of this weekend then walking around trade stands etc.  You will have time to look at vehicles which have actually travelled and talk to their owners

Cost of this weekend?  If the same as last two years it will be £10 PER VEHICLE including the camping and if previous years are anything to go by lunches as well.

Well worth going to

Regards

Brendan

PS Google RGS Overland weekend to see what has happened in last two years
