My handbrake comes up a long way then holds fine, I would like to take some slack out the cable, is there an adjuster under or near the cool box? I dont want to spend an hour taking it all out only to find no adjuster. Ta |

Not sure on the 150, but assume it is the same as the 100, first adjust the shoes through the drums and then take up the cable
on the back axle. _________________ 2004 Amazon 100 series

If you send me your email address I can copy you on the procedure for the 120 series which has a cable adjuster under the central arm rest. |

Handbrake is a drum inside the disk, this should be adjusted first before the cable is touched. _________________ It's Not a Bl**dy Jeep it's a Landcruiser

Yes, internal adjuster for rear shoes can be located with wheels off, and with a torch spin the drum looking through the holes you see on the drum face until you spot a "toothed" adjuster through the hole, usually at the bum if the rotation.
Once located, use a flat blade screw driver to turn the adjuster, you'll know if you turn the wrong way as shoes will bind on the drum and it will stop turning. Turn the adjuster until you feel a slight friction then back off a notch or click.
Should be able to do all the adjustment here you need.
If you adjust up to much it will bind and the hub/wheels will get/feel hot, so you can check all running free once adjustment completed etc, |
