My friend combined a 1975 Stout pickup truck's running gear with a 1960 Willy's Wagon. It was a perfect fit back in 1980. It sat under a tarp until 2002 when she gave it to me. It has a built chevy 350 bolted to the original 3 speed Toy tranny. I need tranny bearings and the high/straight/low range linkage. |

Toyota Stout was the old US name for the Hilux, which was then replaced with the Toyota Pickup then Tacoma. Lots of different tranny's been fitted so you will need to find the tranny part number however there is then a good chance that you should be able to get the parts. May well be the same as an equivilent age Hilux. Hilux was introduced as a name around 1969 I think. _________________ 1999 Land Cruiser Amazon VX Active 4.2TD Auto

No, an FJ40 is a Landcruiser, Hilux is different. in the US to make it easier, the 1st gen 4runner is based roughly on the hilux and in fact is called Hilux Surf elsewhere. Later generations of 4runner moved more away from the Hilux mechanicals _________________ 1999 Land Cruiser Amazon VX Active 4.2TD Auto
