Post some pics. 40's can be worth anywhere from a couple hundred quid for a rusty wreck to more than 30k for a pristine restoration.

At a guess, if it's running, has an MOT, is free of rust/rot and has the original engine and gearbox in good mechanical order, it wouldn't be difficult to sell at 3 ~ 4k but there are a few around at closer to 6k. If it's got any rust in the rear tub or wheel arches, then there's a lot of money to be spent in making it road worthy. Replacement panels are as hard to find as rocking horse poo.

Is it a pickup or a troopie, long or short wheel base, hard or soft top? The FJ (petrol) is more common in the US whereas the BJ (diesel) was more common over here (Ireland, France, Germany).

Most people in the UK that want one, import from Japan, Oz or the far east directly.

Hi hope all is well, he since posted on the FJ55 section, he thought it was a 40 and its actually a FJ55.  Not seen a picture of it but hoping to.
