I’m going to install some LED amber flashing beacons to my van. I’m using 2x 48w beacons (16x3w LED’s), a 12v 50A push on/push off illuminated switch, 16A automotive cable, and an in-line 10A fuse.

People keep telling me that I need to use a relay? I understand when switching heavy loads, I used one on the Landcruiser for the front spots (operate on main beam), but why would I need one for the beacons?  Confused
