Sad Hi
I have got creeping corrosion around all the wheel arches on my 86 HJ60, and would like any suggestions to rsoling this problem.
I've got mig welding equipment if there are spare arches available. Maybe there is a company offering flexible wheel arches, such as found on current landrovers??

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers... Chris

Hi Chris,

I have an identiacl problem on my HJ61 (imoprted version of your with a high roof). Mine is a '87 model. Look i have been trying to find out what to do for ages but have not had anysensible advice. So meanwhile to stop the rot i have been lashing grease onto the rust and behind the arches. Have done this for the last two north of scotland winters and the rust has not spread. I know it looks awfull but i dont realy care. I know this is only putting off having to do something about the rout cause of the problem but its cheap. The old girl might die before the body falls off.

Incidently LC owners just bought a water pump for Millner Coversions -- whizard service -- happy chappy customer. Woould highly recommoend them. Maybe we should speak to them about out rust issue Chris??

Happy Cruissing! Laughing
