I am the proud owner of an '86 LC but am not very mechanically inclined. Sometimes I have trouble getting it to go into 2nd gear from first and was wondering what the problem might be. First is also stubborn sometimes but will usually go after a few tries. Any ideas would be appreciated!
Thanks!

Welcome to the forum Christina, I'm no expert on gearboxes, but for someone to help we need to know a bit more about your vehicle, so try Here to decipher the model number engine and box.

Are you trying to change gear a bit quick, try double de clutching, ie when you pull it out of first let your foot off the clutch then press it down again to put it into second.
