I would look at wheel bearings.
Jack up the vehicle and spin the wheels, if one stops quicker than the other, it probable needs new bearings on the slow side.
Much easier than doing the king pin bearings.
To do a controlled test, remove the brake pads first. |

Wheel bearings have already been mentioned. This type of spin test is very vague. A variation in grease thickness or bearing pre-load, slackness in a CV or binding in the diff. can give a false impression. A check with a stethoscope is a much better bet. If you haven't got one use a screwdriver (handle up against your ear, tip touching the axle casing ).
