The car has been parked for a few days and previous to that hasn't been used much recently. Today I decided to fire it up and give it a short run, I didn't manage to get very far. Once switched on it adjusted itself a little, then once I got moving the back end raised up to the high position and the light on the dash changed to the L setting and the ride became very bumpy. I drove back and parked it up. After fiddling around with height control switch it seems the front is willing to drop down to the low setting and raise back up to the normal drive height but not raise up to high whereas the back stays stuck in the high ride height no matter what I do. The light on the dash is in the N position for a few seconds when the car is switched on but soon changes to the L position and stays on constantly (no flashing).

Would I be correct in suspecting the rear sensor?

Update: I had a look under the car, turns out the linkage holding the sensor has snapped. Luckily the part can be purchased independent of the sensor from Milners so not too expensive
