|
|
Hi,
So I'm leaving the big smoke and moving to the Peak District and swapped a 500bhp AMG for a 2005 LC5 J120 in lieu of the move, I'm glad I choose this over a Land Rover ( which I never really considered due to reliability ) and Shogun ( which drove like a large van ). Can someone help me with the following, I have looked in the owners manual, on this forum, on the net and cannot find the answer -
How do I disable the internal motion sensors so dogs / people can be left in the car with it still alarmed ?
Thanks |

I don't know how the 120 series alarm works, but on my 100 series you press the lock button twice quickly, you then get a double beep of the alarm, and that's it. _________________ It's Not a Bl**dy Jeep it's a Landcruiser

Just checked the manual of my 2005 LC4 - it has a 2 stage locking system.
1. Lock by turning key in door lock or by one press on remote - doors cannot be opened from outside but CAN be opened from inside the vehicle.
2. Lock by 2 presses on remote - doors CANNOT be opened from outside OR from inside the vehicle.
So there is a warning against locking with 2 presses if you leave passengers in vehicle
BUT I can find no express mention of internal sensors as such.
If I'm leaving dogs I just use key in the ignition option personally and the alarm has never sounded but they are confined to a dog box so they can't try the doors anyway! |

Button by rear view mirror. Push it in before removing ignition key. When removing key alarm icon on dash will blink rapidly.
Close all doors and operate remote to lock. |
