Hi Guys,
Could some one tell me if at night with lights on do the heater knobs light up so their positions can be seen in the dark..
If so how to remove this panel to check the bulbs..

Only had the LC for ten years so a bit late asking the question..

Regards

Paul

Just checked (had mine 10+ years too  Embarassed )

The 3 dials are backlit w/festoon bulbs, control knobs not.

Unless mine are without bulbs also!

IIRC, first remove fancy 'walnut' surround for radio etc to gain access to other bits.

Mine (2001 LC) popped off quite easily without tools  - think used a thickish plastic knife to pry it and start process.

HTH

Hi Col,,

I have taken the front panel off the centre console and removed the small heater control panel ( well took it off its mounting... 4 screws).

On the underside there are two holes which I think  bulbs could fit, But my LC does not have them fitted. No wires or bulb holders there.

Never mind I have managed for over ten years will no lit up panel so just carry on as before.

Regards

Paul

On my Colorado the bulbs fit in the top of the control panel and the light shines through the gap to show the position of the lever but the lever itself doesn't light up

Hi Steve,

Thanks for that ..

there does'nt seem to be any wires or bulbs in on near the heater control panel for lights. If the wires that do go into the " block "which is the panel for switching heater fan speed etc. I wonder if the bulbs are internal and are fed by the small wiring harness via the electrical plug..

Just a thought

Regards

Paul

Just changed the lamps in mine. Only the two lamps with no facility to illuminate the rotary dials.
