Hi

I am having similar issue with auto box throwing P2714 pressure control solenoid 'd' performance or stuck / off. When the code is reset it drives perfect but every now and then it goes into limp mode throwing this code. When ignition is switched off and I start it up again then it goes out of limp mode. When in limp mode 1st and reverse gear have hardly any power.

Is it simple case of replacing solenoid or would it need a gearbox rebuild? Previous owner had been driving it with gearbox oil leak so would have had low transmission fluid.  This was all been sorted by myself.

Hi Vtec i would think that its just a solenoid change, when i had issues, the gear box was stripped and the clutches had burned out ect, from that i needed a total rebuild of the box including the soleniods as the fault couldnt be traced. Normaly the gear boxes are extremely tough, durable and simple i was just unlucky with mine and a faulty ECU didnt help things, Juddian is a regular poster on here and he gives excellent advice on LC issues and I'm sure he will pop on and give better advice than me. Hope it turns out OK,

Thanks, I hope so. Just waiting on garage to get me a price for the job. Its next cheapest option before a gearbox strip. I just hope running it low on oil hasn't burnt any clutches out.
