Hi everyone, I have a 3.0 diesel 2001 Colorado and was wondering what coolant everyone else uses? I have some triple qx red (concentrated) would this be ok? I’m planning on a coolant flush & replacement soon and only want to use the best stuff.

Hi, welcome to the forum. I use Toyota Red ready-mixed from Roughtrax although the price from Toyota dealers is not too bad sometimes.

+1 on that. Given the cooling system failures that can happen on these trucks, I stick with the Toyota stuff. It's a massive rip-off (I'm sure) but it's also presumably the best, and it's only an outlay every so often.

Thanks so much for the help, I read elsewhere that other people also usually stick to Toyota red so that’s exactly what I will do! Smile
