can anyone help me,,my battery went flat on the keyfob,i have now fitted a new battery and it wont switch the alarm off or open the motor,the red light now works on the fob,,does it need programed,and how is it done???.
the vehicle is a 1998 colorado 3lr diesel |

No idea I'm afraid, though it sounds like it needs reprogramming. Try posting on the sister site POCUK.co.uk, much more active on there and I'm sure someone would help very quickly. |

Hi, My owner manual says the following.
When the battery has been replaced the system may have lost synchronisation, if this happens press both buttons on the control simultaneously for two seconds.This should return the system to normal operation.
This happend to mine and after being charged £50 twice by my toyota dealer to reset it they felt it was only fair to tell me how to do it. Guess i should of read my manual first.
This is for a standard 2 button key fob from toyota,i hope this helps. |
