I am thinking of swapping my 94 80 series for a slightly newer 100, and was considering the v8 on lpg has anybody done this swap and do they think it was the right thing,It will do a bit of towing but not a lot.Is the reliability good and the ride etc.prob looking for a 2000/2001 ish.or it will be the 4.2 td again..any info welcome thanks. |

Yes i,ve changed. Swapped last year. Had a lovely 80 series, 3 ltr diesel, was great for towing etc, i tow a heavy twin wheel caravan and this towed no problem, but i had it for 4 years so wanted a change. Got a 2001 petrol v8. Wow what a beast, tows like a dream, with loads of power and more. You wont regret it, mine is also on lpg, dont get loads to the gallon but of course it,s cheaper fuel, works out about the same money per trip. What a motor though.
