We are holding a 4x4 weekend event at Lincomb Farm on September 15 & 16th, 2007. This is a non-competitive event open to tlocuk members with road vehicles that are taxed & tested. There is a limit on the number of participants.

The off road tracks, in the woods, will be graded as to difficulty and all the tracks are technically challenging, potentially,  without damage from brambles and branches but with plenty of steep climbs and drops. There is a water trough which has a stone base. Should your Landcruiser get into trouble most times it will be on earth, not rocks. But remember, the trees, fences and gate posts won’t move out of your way!

Please ensure you read the club stance on events: http://www.tlocuk.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1621

Lincomb Farm is a beautiful location, situated near Worcester, close to the M5, on the banks of the River Severn. Brooklyn, the Toyota dealer, uses Lincomb Farm for their customer off-road days and you can get an idea of the terrain from the photo gallery at www.ur4x4extreme.co.uk .

We have camping/caravan facilities on site, including toilets, and there is B&B close by. You can arrive on the Friday evening, 14th(at no extra cost), which gives a full day in the woods on Saturday. Saturday night will see the 3 Bs (Barbie, Bonfire & Beer) and the opportunity to put faces to names. We’ll supply the bonfire and the Barbie, and, if you want, we’ll supply the food for £5 per head, but you supply the beer.  Sunday morning we will be in the woods again before adjourning to the local pub for a spot of lunch and, after, washing off the vehicles and breaking camp.

You will need to pre-book. The cost will be a discounted £20 per vehicle for the weekend. Pay, on arrival, and sign the disclaimers. Please indicate your interest on this posting and confirmation and directions will be sent to you.

Hope to see you at Lincomb Farm.

We are now able to offer advice on off road driving to hone your existing skills, as we have both achieved LANTRA Off Road Driving Certification.

On the Saturday morning, we will dedicate time to those who wish to take advantage of a little free advice which, hopefully, will enhance your enjoyment of the whole weekend.
This is NOT tuition, as we are not qualified instructors, but merely advice, pointers and tips that will help you tackle the challenges of off road driving.

See you there.

Hi Sean,

Sorry you cant make it ,looks like it will be a quiet weekend, with so few  replies. Its really dry there now, so road tyres will go easily on most parts.
My local toyota garage came around in a new standard hilux on roads and took video, which will go on the website soon.
If your ever up this way you can always call me and drive the course.
cheers,Tony.
