Thought I'd leave a post to say Hi and also to ask a question.

Just picked up my LC last week (80 Series VX Diesel Auto UK spec) and the only thing I really don't like the sound of is there is quite a loud transmission whine on acceleration but not when coasting. Is this normal or is it something I should worry about. I know that the transfer case is gear driven (unlike the chain driven one in my Hilux Surf) so the potential is for greater noise however would some gearbox treatment be useable in the T-case and also the front and rear axles (Standard fit lockers).

Anyway apart from that the LC is great.
