Thanks for posting the service schedule I will keep that for future reference.

If I am reading it correctly (and that is a big if) it looks like only the transmissions fitted with dexron oil or ATF require the 40k oil change.

Those fitted with the world standard oil just require inspecting.

Reads like that doesn't it !
Hope thats the case then my 40K service should be even cheaper !! and like I mentioned before if the mechanic blokes at the garage didnt know that when you took yours in it might be the cause of the problem you have now, it would certainly be worth finding out.  I aint taking mine in to have them bollox it up ! especially as its all working fine at the mo

the torque coverter has a suspect composite washer fitted at manufacture...threads on here about it..makes good reading too ..
