Sounding good, Paul. We've just bought the Bala Lake Hotel, unfortunately the builders are in wrecking the place. It would have been a great place to have stayed. Man it is going to be cold though. Going up to Scotland this weekend so hopefully I'll be acclimatised.
Ha ha ho err um..

Myself and The Lovely Boyo (Andrew) could lead a group between us, with his local knowledge and my Memory Map with GPS hopefully we would not get lost.
Weather forecast: Wales (Updated: 1201 on Thu 8 Jan 2009)
Quote: |
UK Outlook for Tuesday 13 Jan 2009 to Thursday 22 Jan 2009:
During Tuesday a change from the wet, windy and mild conditions at the beginning of the week is expected to occur as a ridge of high pressure moves in from the west. This will bring a colder but drier and more settled couple of days for all parts of the U.K. by later on Tuesday and on through to late Wednesday or early Thursday. Thereafter, a return to much more unsettled conditions looks likely and therefore windier, occasionally wet, but somewhat milder once again. The north in particular is then likely to see some snowfall, although with the worst of this on higher ground. There may also be some sleet or snow over high ground in the south at times.

Its 3-4 miles down to Bala or if you go the other way about 5-6 miles to 2 very nice pubs.
The camp site has showers and toilet and electric hook ups if needed.

I'm assuming they're ok with BBQ's Paul, do you have a web site link to check them out? I plan to take my gas bottle brazier for heat and cooking but if they're fussy I might have to wild camp somewhere instead. _________________ Jon m0zxj
