This would be a useful piece of kit if it worked in Africa... and S India....

Graham.
Use Google Earth, take a laptop and upload your position when you get to an internet Cafe. All you need is a GPS and a program to store your route. _________________ 1999 Land Cruiser Amazon VX Active 4.2TD Auto

Great idea, but easier said than done.
My favourite internet cafe in Lalibela, Ethiopia had 7 pc's, connected to a 14kb line....
In Addis, it is much better - 56kb line....
It you try open google earth there you will never finish a trip across Africa.
The sad thing for this gadget, is it covers pretty much the same areas as have decent mobile coverage. _________________ Graham.

The google earth thing can be fudged - set the cache to 2Gb (thats the max, and then fly your intended route when you have a good connection. I'm gonna try use different caches - will let you know if it works... _________________ 2001 Colorado D4-D - BFG-AT's, OME, snorkel, ASIFR plates
