|
|
Hi all,
I'm looking at getting a CB radio (not hand-held) for my TLC, and wondered what the thoughts were on which make, model etc. to get, and what antennae to get - magnetic base or vehicle (or nudge-bar / roof-rack) fitted? There are literally thousands on flea-bay....
TIA
Gary

I've got an Intek M150, got it off e bay for 60 quid. Fits in a DIN mount and then in the upper DIN mount on my Cruiser. Alternatively you can get a small one under the dash above the cup holder - Midland is a good make as is President. Got a fixed mount on my bull bar, Using a stainless whip, can't remember the make. Did have a magnetic base one that went on the roof but to be honest got fed up with the trailing cable.
Alternatively get a Midland Hand Held with the car kit, only problem with tha though is the mic is quite small if you fit an external mic.
Have a look at www.4x4cb.com (Communications 11) or at www.x-eng.co.uk. _________________ 1999 Land Cruiser Amazon VX Active 4.2TD Auto
