My squelch has stopped working on my CB, does this mean my CB has had it, or have i got to adjust something somewhere?

It just crackles all the time, so i presume open.

Have you tried unplugging the antenna? and turning up the squelch !

I don’t know much about the squelch control, but I’ve read on a few forums that a lot of faults are caused by a lose wire/joint in the mic lead at either end – it might be worth checking!

Just remember, don't key the mic with the aeriel disconnected.
