Hi Guys, does anybody have wheel spacers fitted to theyre Lc? If so did you have any problems with them? I'am thinking about making the wheels fill the arches a bit better I have G-Grabbers on (265/70/17) would fitting spacers cause any rubbing of the inner wings? Oh and last where would I purchase them, many thanks. |

I was starting to think the same thing as my Coopers are rubbing - see here:
and I see TBR are selling some:
Wheel Spacers
But at £225 a set _________________ I'll be more enthusiastic about encouraging thinking outside the box when there's evidence of any thinking going on inside it.

I have those on my 90. Nice. Would look even better with no arches. Better when in a trench too, you get more protection from your tyres in relation to rubbing the bodywork.

Just a tip.Make sure the spacer studs are long enough to go through your wheels and then have enough thread protruding for the nuts to screw on safely. Some wheels have thick hubs and you may then find you do not have enough thread coming through. _________________ The second mouse gets the cheese !! |

My RoughTrax spacers arrived last night, and I'll be fitting them this weekend, and report back
Look really solid and well finished too. _________________ I'll be more enthusiastic about encouraging thinking outside the box when there's evidence of any thinking going on inside it.

OK - done, and the rubbing on hard right turn is gone
First one on (after checking them on the spare to make sure they fit )
Fore and Aft:
Fore and aft:
Done:
The 30mm spacer means the wheel is a tad proud of the arch:
Not too bad though:
And looks even better without the stupid side steps, which I removed at the same time. With only 6 little bolts holding them on, I'm surprised they never fell off on their own!

Looking good, will it pass an MOT with the wheels being proud of the arches? Probably be ok if it is not to much. |

MOT completed yesterday, so I've got a year before I need to worry
I can always take them off for the MOT if I need to - not a huge job really. Did the tyre rotation at the same time, so no probs there. _________________ I'll be more enthusiastic about encouraging thinking outside the box when there's evidence of any thinking going on inside it.
