I keep hearing about big end bearings so I am looking to replace mine.
Are their any size differences and do I need to replace the bolts if so does anyone know where i can get them |

Graham.
Yes there are supposedly different sizes however you can get a set from Milner Off Road that are the original Toyota spec size (in the manual you are supposed to read the numbers on the caps and select the appropriate size however they all seem to be stamped 4 on the 1HDT. You will need to go to Toyota for the bolts. Set of BEB from Milners is around £45, bolts are 3 or 4 quid each from Toyota (you need 12).

Important tip.. Torque for big end bolts, 27ft-lb , then mark with paint and tighten 90 degrees further (official toyota way) or use angular torque gauge . |
