Hi all,my handbrake on my 2004 LC3 comes up very high,ive changed rear pads today but no change,are there individual shoes for the handbrake if so are they easy to fit? Rgds |

yes there are separate shoes for the handbrake - should be able to adjust them per instructions in owners manual. The adjusting nut on the handbrake handle can also be used to take up slack in the cable - best to do both.

Handbrake lever thread is for FINE TUNE only. Do not go twizzling that up to adjust the brake, as Gary says, it's just to get the 'feel' of the lever right. Shoes need to be adjusted correctly on the rear disc drum. If they don't get worked properly, they seize up badly. Gotta be done right.
